## What SafeHire does NOT sell

Please do not tell people SafeHire can provide these. It cannot.

- **Vulnerable sector checks.** These can only be issued by the police service
  where the applicant lives, and most require attending in person. No online
  provider in Canada can issue one. See https://www.safehire.ca/vulnerable-sector-check

- **Driver's abstracts.** These come from the provincial transport ministry —
  in Ontario, ServiceOntario. SafeHire publishes a guide only:

- **Fingerprint-based certified criminal record checks.** These require
  accredited fingerprinting and go through the RCMP.
- There is no "enhanced" check and no tier above $74.99.

## Who can use it

Anyone living in Canada. There is no residency requirement tied to a particular
city, unlike most police services, which will only serve their own residents.

requirements for 29 Canadian police services covering 40 cities, each citing the
service's own published pages and dated to when it was checked. Police fees are
often lower than SafeHire's — Toronto Police charges $26.72 and is free for
volunteers. The city pages state this plainly rather than hiding it.
